Introducing One Drive
WHAT IS OneDrive?
In Windows 7 and 8.1, students and teachers can easily save your files to OneDrive and get them from any device such as a home computer, a work PC, an iPad, a tablet, or a smart phone. OneDrive is free online cloud storage that comes with the SMH Microsoft account. As an SMH teacher, you and your students will have access to a Microsoft account that contains the following items:
- Office 365 desktop:
- 5 licenses (per teacher and student) to install Microsoft Office 365 on five personal devices.
- Office 365 online (known as cloud computing):
- Office 365 online contains all of the applications pictured below.
- 1 terabyte of online storage space (known as OneDrive) .
Go to the SMH portal ,www.smhall.org , and choose the Office 365 icon; or go directly to the Microsoft portal, https://portal.office.com , and login with your SMH email. You will be asked to authenticate using your SMH username and password.
